Every year we fine-tune our areas themes to fit the contemporary developments in cycling. This year the bike show is divided into 5 themes plus an event area.

In the program for the first time as a separate large theme area, and a logical consequence of the high quality cycling events of the Berliner Fahrradschau. Whether racing bike, triathlon, cyclo-cross, track, fixed-gear, BMX or one of the countless variations of mountain biking – here is where the whole range of sports equipment presents itself: bicycles to sweat and torture yourself, from entry-level models to breathtaking high-end machines by big and small brand manufacturers, performance clothing, essential gear as well as all the nice little gadgets that make cycling so beautiful. As icing on the cake, bike tour operators will present the most fascinating cycling destinations across the globe.
The exhibition area for timeless classic city bikes, puristic urban bikes, innovative design concepts and trendy cargo bikes. Since, in the meantime, this also belongs to the lifestyle of progressive, solvent city dwellers, the area will also present intelligent children’s bicycles and family transportation solutions as well as practical gear and beautiful accessories for bike riding in the city.
Successfully introduced for the first time in 2013 as a separate theme area. Here you will find all the beautiful custom-made pieces from the hands of renowned and on the other side yet completely unknown national and international Framebuilders. Additionally this will be the place for all those lovingly handmade parts and accessories of small brands and manufacturers from all over the world.
By now, certainly the largest platform for the latest trends in bike fashion, bags and accessories in the world. Cool designer fashions that set fresh, intelligent accents in the area of urban bicycle attire – a segment of the fashion branch that is enormously vital and where new labels are constantly cropping up. The most innovative brands will present their current collections at the Berliner Fahrradschau.
E-bikes, Pedelec & Co have become the quiet motor of the bicycle industry – which stumbled a bit in 2013, due to bad press. On time for the start of the season, the industry will pick up pace in 2014 and present a comprehensive show with its latest models, the most exciting prototypes, and the most recent developments in the area of drive technology and energy storage.
Since the international community meeting of the fixed-gear scene at the 2013 Berliner Fahrradschau was such a huge success and crowd magnet, we are naturally raising the ante for 2014: fixed-gear freestyle competitions with top international cyclists, contests on Germany’s first mini race track, goldsprints and a bicycle criterium beneath the roof of the halls will thrill visitors and participants and also make Fixed Days 2014 a celebration of cycling. The complete event program contents and timetable will be published and updated soon.

Ever since it moved into the picturesque halls of the postal freight depot at the STATION-Berlin on Gleisdreieck in 2010, the BERLINER FAHRRADSCHAU has established itself as a contemporary and independent trade fair for bicycle culture and lifestyle. Urban bicycle themes, bicycle accessories, and bicycle fashion are the special focus.

The success of the BERLINER FAHRRADSCHAU lies in the unique mix of sporting event and trade fair, its total commitment to bicycling and bicycle culture, as well as the carefully curated trade fair presence of select international brands. A wide range of events and test courses reflect the various segments of the fair, invite participation and interaction between exhibitors and visitors, and provide for the typical festival flair of the show.

With its concept, the fair has doubled the number of exhibited brands from its beginning to the previous year to 240, while the number of visitors tripled to 15,000. On March 22 and 23, 2014, its fifth anniversary year, the BERLINER FAHRRADSCHAU will showcase itself over five exhibition areas: AMBITION!, URBAN LIFESTYLE, HANDMADE, VELO COUTURE® and eMOBILITY.
